Mexx and Candy Dulfer join together for a European tour
Mexx and Candy Dulfer announce today a collaboration that will allow fans to enjoy live performances at seven different Mexx stores in Germany, Belgium, and The Netherlands.
The tour will kick-off Saturday, 29 September, at the Mexx store in Oberhausen, Germany, at the Centro shopping centre and will continue through the end of the year.
The stores that have been chosen to host the performances have each benefited from a recent renovation to the Mexx 'loft' concept, designed to create an open environment that reflects the urban nature of the Mexx brand. As a celebration of the reopening of the stores, an all day event will be held in each, featuring music by a DJ, refreshments, and the special live performance by Candy Dulfer.
A limited edition Candy Dulfer CD, featuring two previously unreleased tracks, has been created especially for this tour and will be presented to customers purchasing more than a specified value of merchandise. Dulfer will be available for special signing sessions in between sets.
"I am really excited to be doing this with Mexx - it is a great brand and the loft style of the store is a perfect venue for my style of music. It has been such fun thinking about what to play and the band to put together for each store. Even which tracks to put on the CD; in the end, we have a great mix from the different stages of my career and with different partners, such as Dave Stewart and DJ Roog."
Says Doug Diemoz, President of Mexx, "We are honoured to have someone of Candy's caliber associated with the Mexx brand - and it is an excellent fit. Both are born and raised in Amsterdam, but have global appeal. Plus, Mexx is a truly metropolitan brand, making it perfectly suited to the urban jazz and funky sounds of Candy Dulfer and her band."
Mexx and Dulfer are continuing their collaboration with a special collection designed by the musician and planned to be in stores next year.
